\nlike porridge hours cold, with here and there
\nraisins or almonds hiding in sticky clumps

There’s too much chaos in the world today.
\nI can’t maintain my arrogance in verse,
\nprotect my best convictions from decay
\nor slow the plummet into even worse.<\/p>\n
Age is only one of my excuses.
\nAdmitting I’ve been wrong helps not at all.
\nI never found my greatest talents’ uses.
